One a day for DevilDoc

Okay, so I am trying to take at least one picture of the boys everyday (together or separately) so that DevilDoc can see them changing...here are the first few days of the installment 2-1-0

around here soon. DevilDoc's easiest way to see pictures is to access the blog so it is gonna be all about him for awhile and making sure that he sees Magoo and Pookins ALOT!

Deegan opted to forgo birthday gifts this year and instead accept donations to Ronald McDonald House of Hawai'i. He received $150 in gift cards for various stores on O'ahu, clothing and a container full of non-perishable foods for the pantries at the houses.

Special thanks to J** over at the Paz Dispenser and her husband for SAVING THE DAY by helping me move all the furniture, finish the cake, set up the obstacle course and treasure dig...and all the little things that made it all happen! YOU are AWESOME and I am over the moon to call you my friends :)

The day crept up on us. The clock was our nemesis. It was time for him to go.

Our last weekend together

We decided to do our most favorite Sunday morning thing on our last Sunday morning together for a loooong time. We went to brunch at Longhi's! They NEVER disappoint in the food department, though sometimes there is something to desire with the service, but it is rare.

The day continued with a trip to Build a Bear so the boys could make some daddy inspired stuffed love. Pookie chose a bear and Magoo chose a dog. DevilDoc made cutre recordings to put inside, <3.








I snuck back in after we were done and did a bear of my own for DevilDoc. It was for his "surprise" bag on the way to his "far away place".

And what would a day in Hawai'i be without the BEST SHAVE ICE on the island..heck, for that matter the BEST SHAVE ICE in the world!!! You'll hear that Matsumoto's or Aoki's up on the North Shore are good...but I challenge you to try WAIOLA SHAVE ICE near the zoo. You will never EVER look at shave ice the same again!




I had a small cup with azuki beans and coke syrup :) All the boys had rainbow syrup. BORING!!!

so DevilDoc got a random day off work so we decided to be selfish and send the kids to school so we could have some time together. We drove up to the North Shore and walked along the beach. This guy was pondering the surf...


We headed into Hale'iwa town so DevilDoc could get his last fix of "Big Wave Shrimp Truck"

Well, for those of you who don't know DevilDoc will be headed out soon. One thing we really wanted to do before he left was get new tattoos. We intended on having the quote "My sons are my love" in Kanji characters put somewhere on our bodies. HOWEVER, the literal translation of the characters would have been "My sons are my boyfriends". Ummm, no! So, we opted for something a little bit different but still in Kanji. Mine says "mother, wife, daughter, sister" and DevilDoc has "father, husband, father, son".

He planned a babysitter for us for the evening AND an overnight (thanks Danielle!) We were done with our tattoos around 9pm and we promptly came home, put a movie in and fell asleep, LOL! DevilDoc did let me sleep in while he went and picked up the boys.

I'm on a roll

okay, so DevilDoc was really busy all fall break AND the weekend after!!! Grrrr, but he did get leave the beginning of the next week so all was right with the world. On Monday I had set an appointment for us to have family pictures taken. I have received a few of them from our photographer and I do have permission to post them :)
